REMINDER: Summer time is upon us and in order to meet monthly expenses, we would appreciate it if you don’t forget your donation to our parish during this time. We appreciate your continued generosity to our ministries and all that is accomplished here at Resurrection.
GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR OUR NEW WORSHIP AREA - Join our Church of the Resurrection parish community for the groundbreaking ceremony of our new worship area August 5, 2018. Mass celebrated by Bishop Hanefeldt will begin at 9:30AM, outside in the area that the new sanctuary is being built. We ask that you bring lawn chairs if you have them or are able to move them. The groundbreaking ceremony will follow immediately after Mass, then a lunch will be served. Meat and drinks are provided. Those whose last names begin with A-K, please bring a salad to share. If your last name begins with L-Z, please provide a dessert. Activities for all ages will also be available. As we step into this new chapter at Resurrection, we hope you will stay for the lunch, social gathering and activities that follow the Mass/ceremony. (Please note there will only be one Mass celebrated on Sunday August 5th. The Saturday night Mass will be celebrated at the normal time.)

LITURGY MINISTRY SIGN-UP will take place in July. Please take a few moments to fill out the sign-up sheets that will be in the pews. We are in the process of updating our records and need your help. There is no better way to serve God and others than the Holy Mass. Please consider volunteering.
POLKA MASS, DINNER, AND PARKING LOT DANCE Do mark your calendars for Saturday, August 18, for this fun event here at Resurrection. Invite your family and friends, children included. More details will be in the August bulletins.

MISSION COOP - Sister Christina Meyer, a Sister of St. Joseph of Concordia, KS, will speak to us at the Masses on July 21-22. She will speak on the ministry of their Sisters in Brazil. This is an opportunity for us to become more aware of the mission work of the Sisters of St. Joseph and to learn more about that ministry of the Church. The Church is universal and this is one way to support the Church and its mission in a foreign land. There will be a second collection for this purpose.
THE TRUTH ABOUT ARTIFICIAL BIRTH CONTROL Wednesday, July 25, 6:30 PM @ Hastings Public Library 314 N Denver, Hastings. Free to the public. Bob Sullivan will talk about the historical, legal, scientific & cultural facts regarding artificial contraception in the US. Q&A follows.
Featured Speaker at Respect Life Joey Ruff, R.D.M.S., Grand Island Center Director and Ultrasound Tech from Collage will be the featured speaker at the Respect Life Meeting on Tuesday, July 17th @ 6:30 @ St. Mary’s Parish Center. Collage is a non-profit organization in Grand Island and Kearney that offers all services free of charge, which include pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD testing plus other confidential services. Please join us for this informational meeting. All are welcome!
Junk Jaunt is September 28th, 29th and 30th this year. If you have vintage and gently used items for the Church sale, bring them over and drop off at the shed doors. Please avoid electronics and televisions. We are sorting and pricing now! For any item pickups please call Kena Zebert at 308-258-1217. All proceeds will go to All Generations and thank you for your generosity.
Marriage Saving – the Weekend Phase- During the weekend phase of Retrouvaille a series of presentations are given by a team of three couples and a priest. The team presents a technique of communication that enables you to take a good look at most areas of your relationship. After each presentation you have time in the privacy of your room to discuss the previous presentation. A NOTE TO OUR CONTRIBUTORS: The “Building Fund” is a fund for maintenance on our church and property. The “For All Generations” is a fund to go toward the building of our new church.
NEW OPTION FOR GIVING: Beginning immediately, you now have the option to give online. Online giving allows you to make contributions to our church without writing checks or worrying about cash donations. Donations can be made at your convenience from anywhere you have access to the Internet. For more information and instructions on how to give online, go to the Church website www.giresurrection.com and click on Donate Online. It is important to understand this is only for contributions to the General Fund. The method in which you have chosen to make your For All Generations donations will not change.
Generous and loving God, you call us to be disciples of your Son Jesus and good stewards of all your many gifts. Transform us through the power of your Spirit to nurture a Stewardship way of life marked by faith-filled prayer, service to our neighbor and generous sharing.
