Origins

Resurrection Altar Society was formed in 1997.  All women of the parish, 18 years and older, are automatically members of the Altar Society. 

In 2000 our name was officially changed to Altar Society/Council of Catholic Women (AS/CCW) to better reflect our affiliation to the diocesan CCW (DCCW).  Membership dues are $5 annually (due in September) or $50 lifetime.

Objectives

• To unite the Catholic Women of Resurrection Parish in religious, educational and social activities

• To assist the pastor in spiritual and material undertakings for the welfare of the Parish.

• To stimulate individuals to become better family members, more active parishioners and more informed and alert citizens.

• To stimulate the work of existing organizations of Catholic women to greater efficiency and usefulness to meet the needs of our time.

• To provide members with varied opportunities to develop their talents in the organized lay-life of the community, of the nation, and the world.
