GOSPEL REFLECTION:

What difference has it made in your life when you made a decision in accord with Jesus’ teaching?  When will you have a make a decision this week?  What will help you with a good decision?

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK:
In today’s Gospel we listen to some of the last words Jesus spoke on the night before his death, but they are words that prepared his disciples for his physical departure from them forty days after his resurrection. Jesus speaks of coming back with his Father so that they can make their home in the disciples who love them. Our notion of the Triune God is one who is prepared to come and live within each of us. But God waits patiently to be invited into our hearts; our inner space. God is neither demanding nor intrusive. Do we welcome the presence of Father, Son and Holy Spirit in our hearts? How so?

STEWARDSHIP:

Alive in Christ! That’s what we are. Among the many readings of Easter, St. Paul reflects on this “newness of life” in his letter to the Romans. The Christian life is a resurrected life. It is new life, one of truth, inner joy and genuine fulfillment. God has transformed our lives for all eternity, and that transformation is what it means to be a Christian. Do you know the resurrected life? Have you genuinely experienced it? Good stewards have; and in their commitment to the Lord, they know what it means to be alive in Christ. It is time to rejoice. He is risen! Alleluia!

In the years 2007-2012, $15,952.43 was collected for wells using UPCs. Please save them for the Altar Society and place them in the blue watering can provided in the kitchen by the microwave.
